“After being diagnosed with sleep apnea by my primary care physician, one of the recommendations he suggested for treatment was an oral appliance versus going straight to a CPAP machine. I was not familiar with how an oral appliance worked so I reached out to Dr Haleem and set up an initial consultation to better understand how an oral appliance worked. Dr Haleem did a great job explaining how the oral appliance could treat my sleep apnea and also verified I was a viable candidate. I had a follow up visit with Dr Haleem to have digital images taken of my entire mouth so she could have a perfectly fitted oral appliance manufactured. Once the appliance was made, I went back for a fitting to ensure it fit properly and was properly adjusted to address my sleep apnea. Dr Haleem explained everything in detail and also provided some simple mouth exercises to do to help ensure I did not develop and pain in my jaw from wearing the device at night. I started wearing the appliance and I was immediately sleeping better and most importantly, my spouse was no longer woken up by my snoring. I found the device very comfortable to wear so I adjusted very quickly to sleeping with it.
